Children, young people and families are a vital part of church life at CHCC. We want to create safe, welcoming and faith-forming spaces where children and young people are known, valued and able to explore Christian faith.

Sunday Club

Families are welcome

We know that visiting church with children can feel daunting, especially if you are not sure what to expect.

At CHCC, children and young people are very welcome.

You do not need to worry if children make noise, move around or ask questions. We see children as part of the church family, and we want families to feel relaxed, supported and included.

Sunday Club

On Sundays, we offer children's provision through Sunday Club during part of the morning service.

Sunday Club gives children a safe and welcoming space to learn about Jesus, explore the Bible, ask questions, pray, play and take part in age-appropriate activities.

During the Sunday service, families are also welcome to stay together in the main service if that works best for them.

When?

Midway through the Sunday service.

Where?

Grace Cook Primary School's Library

Who is it for?

Primary-aged Children
(4-10 years)

What happens?

Bible story, prayer, discussion, and play.

Children Praying Together

Children are welcome in the main service. Some families use Sunday Club, some stay together, and some do a mixture of both.

We know children do not always sit silently - and that is okay. Church is a family, and we want children to grow up knowing they belong.

Children in the service

Students on Stairs

We want CHCC to be a place where young people are known, valued and supported as they grow.

Our heart is to help young people explore Christian faith honestly, build healthy relationships, ask real questions and discover what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life.

As our youth ministry develops, we are committed to creating safe, welcoming and meaningful opportunities for young people to belong, grow and serve within the

wider church family.

Young people

Our Vision

We want children and young people at CHCC to be more than simply looked after while adults are in church.

We desire to help them know they're loved by God, welcomed by the church and free to explore faith for themselves.

Known and valued

Each and every baby, toddler, child, teenager and their parents matter and have incredible value.

Safe and cared for

We take safeguarding seriously and want our spaces to be safe, welcoming and trustworthy.

Growing in faith

We want children and young people to encounter Jesus, explore the Bible and grow as disciples.

Part of the whole church

Under 18s are not separate from the church - they are part of the church family.

Safeguarding

We take safeguarding seriously. If you have a safeguarding concern or would like to speak to someone about safeguarding at CHCC, please contact our safeguarding team.

Questions from parents and carers

If you are thinking of visiting with children or young people, we would be very happy to hear from you.

You can ask about Sunday Club, age groups, additional needs, safeguarding, what happens on a Sunday, or anything else that would help you feel more prepared before coming

Come along on Sunday

The best way to get a feel for CHCC is to come along on a Sunday morning. You are welcome to visit, meet some of the church family and see what works best for your children.

Whether your family is used to church or completely new to it, you would be very welcome.
